Chief Nursing Officer

The CNO directs the hospital’s nursing services and participates as a member of the executive management team, sharing authority and responsibility with other executive managers to assure the provision of quality, cost efficient healthcare to patients presenting for services. THE CNO has the authority, accountability and responsibility to establish nursing policies and procedure, nursing standards of patient care, treatment, and services, and standards of nursing practice and nurse staffing plans for the organization.

Must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with an Advanced degree at Master’s level or above. Current Registered Nurse in license in the country of origin required. A minimum of ten years previous management experience, same level or next lower level in acute health care facility. Demonstrates solid managerial, administrative, scheduling, planning and budgeting skills.

* Master’s degree in nursing
* Executive nursing experience
* Knowledge in: nursing practice models, quality management, patient safety, regulatory and accreditation standards and budgeting.
